Terminal Server - Interrupted Network Connection MS Server 2008

Sometimes when users are accessing ServiceTracker via Terminal Server (Remote Desktop) the connection is interrupted on the network from the data server / NAS. This leaves MS Access in a locked State that causes the following error "Your network access was interrupted. To continue, close the database, and then open it again"

Often the cause is that the Main Server was rebooted whilst users were still connected to ServiceTracker via terminal server (even if logged out of Terminal Server, but left ServiceTracker open.)

To fix this issue, ALL users need to be logged out, but sometimes this cant be done successfully, and each session/process has to be terminated by the administrator

Log into the Terminal Server and Locate the Remote Desktop Services Manager

Open the Server Manager (Note you will need Admin privilages to do this)
1. Click on the (+) to expand Roles
2. Click on the (+) to expand Remote Desktop Services
3. Click on the (+) to expand Remote Desktop Services Manager
4. Click on the Applicable Server
5. Click on the Processes Tab
6. Sort by the Image Column

Then right click on each instance / process of MSACCESS.EXE adn select END PROCESS.

Open ServiceTracker and Restart

ServiceTracker contains some built in startup health check functions. Open ServiceTracker to the login screen. Click on the Red X to close.
Reopen ServiceTracker and Login. If you Can log in at this point, the issue has been resolved. If this does not resolve the issue, please contact ServiceTracker support.
